You cannot file your tax return without a W-2. Even if you get your W-2 very early, the IRS doesn't start accepting returns until January 12th. Sometimes the amounts on your last pay stub are different than your W-2. H&R Block is offering an advance loan using your paystub. They don't actually file your tax return, they just estimate your 2006 refund using your last paycheck stub. Then you can get up to $2500, i believe, right now. Check it out.

You MUST wait until you get your new W2 from your employer.

Federal EIN numbers and State Numbers CAN change if there has been a change in the business standing. It goes from a Sole-Propertiership to a Corportation or LLC and such. It is not guaranteed that the numbers will be the same.

And yes each state is different but the IRS is nation wide.

Added Note~If in February you don't have your W2 tax professionals will allow you to file with out it...but usually not till then.

yes the numbers will be the same, and yes the amount on your last pay stub will reflect your year end gross salary. HOWEVER
our good friends at the IRS want to see the W-2, which should be in your hands no later (I think, by law) than Jan 31. When in doubt, call our good friends at the IRS, you don't want these people mad at you, or sniffing around! Cheers!

Yes. The id stays the same.

File electronically & use the last pay stub of the year.

Call the IRS and ask them. Each state is different.
