Cutting off split ends will improve the condition of your hair. It wont make it grow any faster because it doesnt affect the hair follicle. What it WILL do though is make it seem as if its growing faster as split ends make the hair snap off and reduce the length of your hair. Trimming them every six weeks is recommended, though I would probably have it done every 8 weeks if you're trying to grow it. Every six weeks just keeps your original style nice and tidy.

Yeah it does, my mom used to work in a salon and she taught me to cut my hair every 2 months to get out the split ends and ur hair tends to grow faster and healthier as well.

well, nobody wants split ends so u NEED to cut them off. and i kno for a fact that trimming ur hair will make it grow back faster, rather than never trimming it at all. so cutting ur split ends in a great solution if u want ur hair to grow.
