The other day, I walked into my 9 year old daughter touching herself. Is it normal for them to do that at this age? Isn´t she just too young for this?

Ok. I'm a mom and I would handle it this way. I'd tell her that there is nothing wrong with it but that it is private. No one should touch you or your privates. Ask her if anyone has. Don't make her embarrassed either. And don't tell her that it's wrong. She'll grow up with sexual hangups. Don't worry about it and make it sound like no big deal and that she can talk to you about anything she wants. You want her to come to you with any questions, ok?

Yes it is. Nowadays everything happens earlier. Menstruation starts at 9 or 10 whereas before it used to be 13 or 14. No need to freak out just make sure your baby girl knows the facts of life.

Its normal, you just need to stress that she should be only one touching herself and she shouldnt touch others. Also tell her that there is a time and place, like her bedroom, not like the supermarket or something. Good luck

It is normal....

If this is real: she is probably is such a state of shock now that she may never have sexual relations again (having your mom 'catch' you when you're nine?)

If this is real: you need to appologize to her for invading her privacy, that what you did was really wrong and that what she was doing was fine.

If this is real: You probably need to seek some parenting classes to learn how to raise your children.

I preface my answers with "if this is real" only because this wreaks of perversion, and if you are indeed a real parent in this circumstance then please seek proffessional advice from doctors or maybe your own mother.

I am a father of 3. My oldest is 5, 3, 2. I have one boy and two girls. I have seen my son do things that older men do, but that is because he is with me all time. Like teaching him to go potty and sorts. But I have not seen my daughters do anything. They have asked there mother about her chest area but nothing like you say. My suggestion is just talk to her about it and she might stop.

It is normal. It feels nice and she's learned that. Talk to her about privacy, respecting her body, and so on.
