If the God of Abraham is a just God, why would he be concerned with whether or not we worship him?

Wouldn't he focus on how we live rather than who we worship?
Would it be just to send a man like Ghandi to hell for eternal torment?

Before I answer your questions I have to clarify one thing that many people are confused about. Hell is NOT eternal. Hell is used to DESTROY sin and when sin is destroyed it will go out. Sinners die in Hell. It is temporary. The idea of ETERNAL hell actually comes from paganism not the Bible. God does not "take pleasure in the destruction of the wicked but that the wicked man will repent." God does NOT torture people(see bottom for the truth about Hell)

1)Why is God concerned with worship and following Him?
Jesus says "I am the way the truth and THE LIFE." and "I am the Resurrection and THE LIFE." The Bible talking about Jesus says “In Him was life and the Life was the Light of Men.”

Why is God conderned with if we worship Him? because if you LOVE God you will worship Him.

God = Life, So if you don't love God, who IS Life, what is the only other option?

You can't have it both ways you can't hate God and want eternal life.

2)Why does God not accept those who live good lives

Why can't God accept a "good" person's life. Because God says "All our righteousness(good deeds) are like filthy rags."

That means All the good things that we have done is still weighed done by our sins. The good we do is tainted by our sins.

If you do a million good deeds and have only 1 sin, that 1 sin still outweighs all your good deeds.

Because we have all sinned. If we do not in love, trust, and confess these things and ask God to forgive them then he can't and we will be responsible for them

Unquenchable Fire

I will talk about these two texts a little later but first I will talk about what hell is really like.

When does Hell burn?
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the END OF THE WORLD; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the END OF THE WORLD. Matthew 13:24-43
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust UNTO the day of judgment to be punished:
2 Peter 2:9

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
2 Peter 3:7

Hell fire burns at the end of the world


Where does Hell burn?

Revelation 20 says that the New Jerusalem descends from Heaven and lands on the Mt. of Olives. The wicked surround the city and God rains down fire on them. Hell fire burns on the earth.

"Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes UPON THE EARTH in the sight of all them that behold thee" Ezek. 28:16, 18


Now for the 2 misunderstood texts.

Eternal Fire
In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of ETERNAL fire. Jude 7

Sodom and Gomorrah are not still burning but the result of the fire is eternal


Unquenchable Fire

But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an UNQUENCHABLE fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses.' "
Jeremiah 17:27

And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof. And them that had escaped from the sword carried he away to Babylon; where they were servants to him and his sons until the reign of the kingdom of Persia: To fulfill the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her sabbaths: for as long as she lay desolate she kept sabbath, to fulfill threescore and ten years.

God said that Jerusalem would burn with unquenchable fire yet the fire did go out. It was unquenchable because it burned and burned but no one quenched the fire it went out when there was nothing left to burn.

God does not want sin or sinners to last forever if they suffer forever then wouldn’t that go against His plan

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever" (Ps. 92:7). Wickeddestroyed

"The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy" (Ps. 145:20). Wickeddestroyed

Wages of sin is DEATH but the gift of God is eternal Life Romans 6:23
God gives eternal life to the saved the sinners die

For God so loved the world that whosoever believeth in Him shall not PERISH but Have eternal life John 3:16
The wicked perish and only the saved are given eternal life.

God told Adam and Eve that if the ate the fruit they would die the Devil said “you won’t “really” die”

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall CONSUME; into smoke shall they CONSUME away.
Psalms 37: 20

And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the Lord shall be CONSUMED.
Isaiah 1: 28

Let the sinners be CONSUMED out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the Lord, O my soul. Praise ye the Lord.
Psalms 104: 35

But the transgressors shall be DESTROYED together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

Do you want to know your kids? Do you want to know other living beings? Who said Ghandi was certainly in hell?

How most of us live isn't all that impressive. That's kind of the point too. When we live more in-line with the way we were created to live (loving one another and taking care of everyone), things tend to get better all around. When we give into doing what we want and once in a while doing a good deed or two, things tend to continue stagnating don't they?

He doesn't need our worship, He knows that every thing we have have from cradle to the grave is provided by Him. We should want to worship Him, because of all He has done for us.

God longs for us to worship Him out of our free will. Otherwise He'd have created more angels.
Angels are created to do His will only, to do good.
If we do good, but not out of obedience, it's not service to God, thus not worship.
