Four years is such a long time. How do you know you will be the same person in 4 years? I don't' think you should wait. You might be passing up something really great.

Ria,
It is a novel idea to wait for him, but 4 years is a long time and these are vital years for both of you.
I'd say let thiings play out as normal. You will have experiences and so will he. If you stay together, great. If not, you will have a better idea then as to what to do.
When I went away to college and my long term BF stayed here, we made a vow to stay together. We tried, but I became involved in things that took up my time and I was meeting new people from all over and experiencing new things. He began to resent me and new found life and that caused a lot of ill feelings. We parted ways after many strained conversations. I rather we left things pleasant. Don't make the same mistake.
Good Luck!

If the right person comes along I thing love is definitely worth waiting for. But it will take some time to find out if he/she is the one. It might be worth waiting for. Especially since you like her a lot and she likes you a lot. My opinion would be you two should just be friends until she moves back, that way no one will get hurt.

If you really love him....that shouldn't even be a question...you should know if its worth waiting for him. If you two love each other, he'll find a way to contact you and you'll find a way to contact him..you don't just give up for four years and expect to come back and still know the person.
good luck and best wishes to you.

well, if you both feel the same way to each other and know that no matter how far you two are, you will always be thinking about each other and wont be going out with anyone else during the 4 years apart, then its worth it.
Good Luck

Like the saying goes, if you love something set it free. If it comes back it was meant to be. Don't "wait" for him, it will only make you lonely and sad. Do your thing, and if in 4 years he comes back, then it was meant to be.

absolutely
the best things come to those who wait. (and not just for sex) other things are worth waiting for as well.

honestly, i think not. you're obviously too young. waiting for four years, which is probably amost a quarter of your life, could cause you to miss out on something better.
even if you love him, you are too young to miss out on important life experiences that tend to occur in this period of one's life.
