Well, if you broke up with him, then he probably feels slighted and being that he is probably a younger guy/man-boy he is porbably to immature to take it like a man and move on right away until he feels like he has paid you back for hurting his ego. Now, if he broke up with you and he is a pain in the butt still, it's because he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to know other girls, but at the same time run your life or at least annoy you.

Because you have a history with them and depending on the break up they are not ready to move on. If you broke up with them, they want you to take them back and if they broke up with you, they want ti show you what you lost out on. For the most part they just want to act immature and just a rise out of you/
