They should probably have some form of entertainment. A deck of cards, a book, an iPod/MP3 player, a gameboy/handheld console, a pencil and paper (for writing and/or drawing), maybe some handheld puzzle (such as a rubix cube) etc. are all good things for a girl to have. They should also carry on anything they feel they need on a 4 hour flight, such as a small pillow for sleeping, maybe a stuffed animal/doll for comfort.

EDIT: The girl shouldn't bring ALL this stuff. This is just a list of what they COULD bring on.

Just carry a few clothes and the rest to be in the checked baggage.

As little as possible. It will end up getting lost when she is focusing on being scared and alone. Definitely identifying information in her pocket, and a good book or something to do.

I would get them a portable dvd player and a couple movies for them to watch. Remember some headphones for them so other people around them are not bothered by the movie

take a book or some magazines to read, and your ipod to listen to music while you read would be a good idea. just don't take a water bottle cause it will get taken away at security. oh, and a change of clothes incase your luggage gets lost
