I expect some appeal to the Christian intentions of our country's founding fathers, but I will reiterate that they were not Christian, nor were they particularly good examples of morality anyway as they owned slaves.

For non-Christian quotes by founding fathers, see link...

Christians want special treatment. That's why they have been trying to deny rights to everyone else for years now.

Well I am a Bahai and not a Christian per say but we do believe in Abraham , Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, and Bahaullah,
All the Major religions,

And Equality is a Major issue for us,

Equality of both the races and the sexes.

I agree that we have had some serious issues in this country, but the worst of it is that Racism and Sexism are a Major issue today, even with all the Muslim bashing, did you know that Blacks in America are still the more greater discriminated against since 9/11- and More so Black women,

Its a scary thought,

Thanks for the link,

Meg

oh and i would like to point out :
Why would they want change when they already have all the power,?

And did you know that the Catholic Church is still discriminating against the Nuns? Catholic preists recieve a retirement package ,
Nuns do not, they are not valued as much as a man, even in this day and age.Catholic preists get a apartment and money, the nuns have a sort of group home that they have to live in,

What do we think about his, is this right or wrong,?

PS I was a Catholic until I changed and became a member of the Bahai Faith.

And this is more of an FYI than a Catholic Bash, sorry to offend.

The only thing that is equal between Christians and Muslims is that we were all born condemned to hell. The Muslims are still going there, their religion is a religion of hatred and lies, and we should ammend the constitution if need be to eliminate them from this country. You want to be a Muslim, go live in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi....you have many countries to choose from. But honoring a cult of hate mongers and their teachings of lies and terrorism as "equal" is completely ridiculous. If we keep going like this, our grandchildren will only be able to read about the freedoms we once had before the liberal-left-tree-hugging- everyone-and-everything-deserves-to-be-treated-equally fools began destroying our civil liberties.

I think I would like to see our law enforcement start prosecuting for treason anyone who spoke out against our nation .

Don't like it here? Go somewhere else and get "enlightened"

ONENESS. Oneness theology would not deny that the Son is eternal, nor does it confess that Jesus is a created deity. that's one element to assert that Christ's deity is the comparable simply by fact the daddy as do Oneness believers, besides the undeniable fact that that's yet another element to assert that the deity of Christ is a created deity by utilising the daddy as do JWs. the only way wherein it may desire to be stated that Oneness believers have faith in a created Son is that we've faith Jesus' humanity got here into existence at 5-4 BC. (simply by fact we understand "Son" as being intrinsically related with the incarnation), yet that's believed by utilising all Christians, no longer in simple terms Oneness believers. If we are actually not claiming that Jesus' deity is created by utilising the daddy, then we don't carry to the JW doctrine, and consequently we are able to't be accused of training a created Son anymore than Trinitarians could be accused of such. the place Trinitarians and Oneness variety is not any be counted if or no longer the eternal deity of the Son of God is the comparable very own deity simply by fact the daddy, or a various guy or woman interior the Godhead. Oneness human beings deny the orthodox Trinitarian doctrine that the Son of God is ceaselessly begotten in accordance to His deity, confessing in simple terms that He grow to be begotten in time in accordance to His humanity. We do confess that the deity of the Son, Yahweh, is eternal. The war of words between Oneness believers and Trinitarians pertains to no be counted if or no longer the deity of Christ is a various eternal character interior the Godhead from the daddy, or no be counted if His deity is the comparable guy or woman of the daddy, yet incarnated in flesh. We disagree with Trinitarianism that the deity of the Son is distinctive in guy or woman from the deity of the daddy.

ya then we could put little voodoo dolls all over the place.the laws of the USA were founded on christian principals perhaps it would have been better to base them on the principals of Islam then the states would be just like Iran, equality is not about supporting other religions its about letting people make up there own minds freedom of religion is just that freedom to pray or not to pray to whom ever you choose when you come to the USA you know its mostly Christianity you will see ,so you should be prepared for such a thing .

Faith is a quality and experience that is real, but posting it on a cold and old cement wall is not anymore functional than posting old Pepsi cans on the cement walls. Lets just work to make religion a personal matter which is allowed by the law of the land, but is not a necessary public doctrine.
Who needs all the death and destruction that accompanies warring religions?

....because our country was built upon Christian principles. Christianity, of course, was built upon Jewish ones.

Islam is fairly new to this country and far too many people still cannot explain what the Quran/Koran/Qur'An is. I'd like to see some quotes from the Qur'An and other universal truths as well....perhaps some day soon....

Thats OUR country's founders. You have no sense of historical perspective and spout typical left wing venom about the founders. Here's a quote: Go home, foreign devil.

I am sure there are 'exceptions to the rule' presently here in the USA. However, an overall trend in the USA recently has been to allow other religions 'such and such' but deny Christians to portray their 'such and such'.
