Well I would start easy by taking a patch. If that doesn't work I would get help . Maybe you should try to find yourself somebody and when you do keep yourself busy with that person and do other activities so you can get rid of smoking. I know quitting is hard for you but you can do it . If you don't quit you could face lots of bad things like lung cancer and lots of other things. plus I think smoking is very unatracted. Maybe thats whats holding you back. Email me if my advice works.Good Luck !!! Not that you will be needing it!!!

I took Chantix and had the same problem. I stopped taking it back in December (I quit smoking in October) and was on a feeding frenzy after I quit. I gained a few pounds but have since lost it. Gaining a few pounds is a small price to pay to kick the smoking habit. Try and eat healthier things like vegetables or honey wheat pretzels. They're good for you and also help with the oral fixation.

I used the Nichatrol Inhaler. You use it like you would a cigarette. It help with the hand to mouth motions as well as you can use it during times of stress just like a cigarette. You don't have a steady flow of nicotine like with the patch, It is much more like smoking as you have different levels of nicotine like as in smoking. So it is much more like smoking minis the tars and other harmful additives that cigarettes have, you slowly reduce the amount of Inhalers per day until you are smoke free. You can use these every where as there is no smoke. Your Dr. Must write an Rx. for these. I was able to finally give up smoking after smoking for 32 years. I kept an empty inhaler to use for the hand to mouth motions long after I was off of the Nicotine carriages.

Yeah, wellbutrin or zyban (same drug different brand name) worked very well for me. You need to take it for two weeks before you stop smoking it has to build up in your system. After about a week the cigarettes started tasting weird and gross. I set my quit date for two weeks after I started taking it. Normally if I quit cold turkey I would have severe withdrawal symptoms and be miserable for several days. On the Zyban, the first day without cigarettes I had very mild withdrawal symptoms. The second day, nothing. It was amazing. One thing: if you decide to try this med and you have a problem with alcohol dependence you absolutely need to tell your doctor this.

By having a strong will power you can quit. Though its one of the most difficult ways to give it up.
