windows xp question?

i recently redid my laptop {reinstalled xp} ,sinc then,every time i choose turn off from the start menu,windows shuts down and then displays a screen "its now ok to turn off your pc" or sumthn like that. i want to know how to change it so it shuts down itself . as of now, i choose shut down from start menu,windows shuts down then i hav to push the power button on pc to shut it down. its really annoying.

XP has not proper installed the power management drivers for your mainboard's power management features.

Go to the manufacturer's website & look for BOS updates or relevant drivers for XP.
