tell him you guys will always remain friends but as far as keeping the relationship it honestly will be a total waste of time its best you guys break up on good terms than bad. and still try to keep in touch but just as friends

I am so sorry! I have been in this position before. It's hard to communicate in a long distance relationship, and there are a lot of elements to maintaining one. I am in one now, the same one I was in last year when I moved! We are going strong. I advise you pick a way to communicate (even if it is snail mail) and really discuss your game plan as far as contact goes. I know how hard this is! Make sure to take a lot of time to take care of yourself after he leaves. When things get tough, eat some comfort food. Smell his sweatshirt. Read your love letters. Whatever it takes, I just hope that all works out the absolute best for the both of you!

You never said how far away he is moving.
The first thing I would do would be to invest in a camera.
Take lots of pictures of you and he together at some of your favorite places.
You can get one of those disposable cameras at walmart. Dont develop them till he's gone and send him a few of them every week or so.
i am sure that he will love it.
Talk to your dad about some of the low cost plans that offer flat rate long distance. Our long distance carrier is SPRINT and it is only $20.00 per month no matter how much your talk.
Also if your mom or dad has a cellphone, alot of the plans have free nights and weekends.....
Have him promise to you that he will keep up his grades and you promise him the same thing.
If you both do that, you can make plans to attend the same college! Lots of times absence really does make the heart grow fonder! GOOD LUCK!

I know it's not the answer you want to hear but you should probably break up. I'm not sure how old you are but possibly you could go to the same college. Definitely break up on good terms and make it known that you want to keep in touch with him. Maybe you can get the same cell phone provider that allows you to have unlimited mobile to mobile minutes. I'm sorry you're in this situation. I wish you the best.

All i can say sweetie, is if you think your in it for the long haul then you'll find a way to make it work. People do it all the time..... Email is a great way, you can also try setting up webcams so you can actually see each other. But 1 email in a year isn't good. I would talk to him and see if he's in in for the long haul , so your not wasting your efforts.

If you are that young that your dad is telling you who you can and can't talk to on the phone then your to young to worry about this. I think you should break it off with him there are plenty of guys out there. It will be hard and even harder because your use to him being around. If it is meant to be then yall will end up with each other eventually.

I am sorry Hun, about the only thing you can do is work these things out with time. Write him as often as you can. Email him even though you feel like he might not email. Love will find away if it's meant to be.

Need more information. How old are you? How far is he moving? How long have you been dating? Do you have a part time job and going to school?
