All earphones/headphones use the same jack as an input for hearing music. Earphones/headphones will work with any system or device, like a CD player or an ipod. Mine work and there is no reason why they shouldnt.

Earphones have three sizes of plugs.
2.5 mm
3.5 mm and
6.3 mm
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_plug
Most portable audio equiptment uses a 3.5 millimeter plug which is the medium sized one.
The large one is used on stand alone audio equiptment. I don't personally recall using any of these since my parents had a set of headphones with this big phone cord looking thing coming out of it and the humoungous plug at the end.
The smaller one is used typically in radio equiptment, my cell phone uses one this size.
Otherwise ANY of the headphones sold in the portable music aisle at the store should fit. They all have for me and I've had about 5 different sets.

To boost the previous peoples solutions: any in many situations occurring headphones will artwork. in many situations occurring subsequently ability ones with a three.5mm headphone jack that matches contained in the iPod. the two.5mm jack ones in basic terms artwork with gadgets which contain cellular telephones, and could no longer slot contained in the jack, and different headphones (like those used for record gamers (uncertain what length it quite is)) are too great for the iPod. in short, if the jack fits contained in the iPod, that is going to artwork till the two the headphones or iPod is broken.
