It's what dogs do.
I'm much hairier that a staffy, and I still like to be near a radiator or in bed beside my mum.

My dog (yorkshire terrier x jack russell) is exactly the same. Whenever she jumps up on the bed she makes straight for the top or bottom of the duvet so that she can get underneath and get warm. Sometimes she has red ears from being that hot when I take her from under it. I think it just hows dogs are but you could put a radiator guard up to stop your dog getting too close if he is getting burnt. Alternatively buy him his own little dog bed and train him to sit in it with reward until he gets the idea for himself. Good luck!

I have had 4 dogs and all of them have liked to be warm and gone next to the fire. My first dog was a poodle you could smell her scotching and you would have to fiscally move her from in front of the fire. And i had a little girl Cain terrier that used to sleep right under the bottom of our quilt i used to think she would suffocate but she never did.

Aaahh, Staffies! My pooch is just the same, he will lie where the pipes run under the floor and by the radiator.Sometimes though he gets too hot with me on the sofa and flops onto the floor with a big sigh! They will regulate their own temperature with their behaviour. Happy New Year!!

Just like some people some dogs always feel cold. How old is the dog? People also as they get older feel the cold more. Large dogs are more susceptible to circulatory disorders. Ask the vet.

my jack russell does this too. Even if hes in another room he always hears the fire getting switched on and comes running through to sit infront of it and he also has to be under the quilt.

Sounds like you're spoiling her rotten to me. She'd be perfectly happy sleeping in the kitchen.
