just put some petroleum jelly on it and leave it .don't itch it or anything of the sort. if it blisters just keep putting the petroleum jelly and leave it it will burst on its own and then it will dry up.

Sorry to hear about the burn. That's a tough one to happen. Even if you do everything right for the burn, you may still have a scar depending on the depth of the burn. If it is a deep burn, my advise would be to see a doctor for proper treatment and prescription burn medication. If it is a superficial burn, keep the area clean, do not pick at it as its healing (or you will definitely leave a scar) and check with a pharmacist on the best burn medication (over the counter) that you could use while it is healing. Some superficial burns, no medication is necessary (meaning burn ointment) and some, it will help to use a light ointment to speed healing, stop infeciton and reduce scarring.

By the way, NEVER EVER use ICE on a burn! Ice directly on a burn will create frostbite and that will further damage your skin. Never use any cream or ointment on a burn (including butter) until you either talked with a pharmacist, a nurse, a doctor or know for certain it is a closed superficial burn.

I used to work in ER with burns and nothing made me cringe more than someone coming in with a burn, covered (well meaning) with OTC burn ointment, butter, aloe vera, or any of the other home treatments. If there is any open areas, these will increase chances of infection but worse, if the burn is not superficial, it has to be removed before any treatment can begin. (which is very painful)

Here is an excellent easy-to-read site from the Mayo Clinic which gives directives on dealing with burns.

You can't "get rid" of it. It must heal. You can treat it as you would any other burn. The treatment depends on the degree of damage. If the burn only left redness, then it is probably a first degree burn. Now that it is a day later, there is nothing you can do for it. If you are lucky, it will not blister. (second degree) You can apply makeup to cover it up, temporarily, but whenever you can, leave the makeup off, to let air get to it.

If it does blister, DO NOT POP THE BLISTER! It may be unsightly, but popping it exposes you to infection, the same as any open wound. Put a bandage over the blistered area to protect it. If it accidentally pops, treat it like you would a cut. Clean it, disinfect it and bandage it.

This, too will eventually heal. A first degree burn will not leave a scar. A second degree burn will dry out, scab over then peel off without a scar IF you treat it carefully. A third degree burn, where the skin is charred and actually burned off will scar and will also require medical attention.

Take care.

It will heal by itself. Usually it won't leave a mark, if you just touched yourself briefly. Don't pick at it if it scabs over. Put a little VItamin E oil on it if you like...that seems to help prevent scars.

get an Aloe Vera plant, cut off a piece, rinse it, squeeze out the gel like substance, and apply it on the burn. i guess do it at least for a week, but get it right away. The longer you wait, the less effective it will be.

Aloe can be put on burn area.
You can buy an aloe plant and break
off a piece of thick leaf to get gel.
Or buy 100% Aloe somewhere natural.

Let's see my mom told me to put egg on it. Now I don't think you would want to do that, so I did my own method. Put some vaseline on it, until the scab comes off. After that, put plenty of cocoa butter each day until it fades. You still might be able to see it, but it will be less noticeable.

This happened to a friend - she put vitamin e oil on it until healed. It takes time. If you fried it pretty good it's gonna scab - don't pick at it or it will scar.

Just put ice on it, and don't mess with it. the ice will take the heat out, but for a faster relief but Aloe Vera on it everyday and it will take the heat out and heal it.
