I don't think there will be any consequence to his execution, and will only give satisfaction to his victims who were directly involved. President Bush and his cronies have made such a convoluted mess of things in Iraq it will take a lot more than the collective brains of the current administration has to get it all figured out. I will pray for your son's safety and save return.

I do not expect any serious 'consequences.' Saddam is hated by the vast majority of his countrymen and his few supporters are part of the terrorists already causing trouble over there.
At most there may be a brief spike in bombings against civilians. I doubt if his remaining (and surviving) supporters would be stupid enough to come out in the open and engage our troops (which is exactly what our troops want).

I think Saddam's supporters have always hated Americans, will always hate Americans, and they want us (and the Jews) dead. The "consequences" will be the same as they are now....they will just have another burr up their butts that "justifies" their actions. They're all crazies.

In the short term nothing. I'm afraid it will have an impact on the Iraqi's if Saddam's supporters seek revenge for his death.

I don't see where there will be any consequences for America(U.S.), but there may be some consequences the the U.S. troops in Iraq.
