My son will be 10 in February, all he asked for was a new skateboard, which he got for Christmas, so we're buying him a compound bow and arrow set to go with the bb gun he also got. but we live in a small "hick" town, so if you don't i'd just get a skateboard, video games, mp3 players are HUGE right now, remote control cars are always a hit, a new bike, there are soo many things!

My son turns 10 in a couple weeks and we are thinking of getting him a chemestry set or microscope or a telescope. For Christmas, he already got electronic games etc and RC cars. I think 10 is too young for Ipods but everyone is different.
Good luck

Get him a gift card for a video game store or a store such as Best Buy so he can buy music or video games or whatever

That depends on what HE likes...some kids are into video games, books, comics, action figures, etc....what does he like??
If you don't know, then give him a gift card and let him pick out what he wants....I know it's not as exciting because when he opens it it's just a card...but at least he'll get what he really wants!
OR...have him make a list of what he wants, and pick out a couple of things to buy him

You can shop by age at Toys R Us. Check out their site and maybe you can get some good ideas. Looks like they have a lot for the 8 - 11 year range

Take him somewhere special and spend time with him...like to a ballgame, on a camping trip, fishing or on a scenic railroad excursion. The memories will mean more to him than anything you can buy.
