i don't know. it seems like all the gordon and johnson fans go so overboard when there driver gets called gay.
I love Kasey kahne and he has been called gay several times but I don't flip out.
I could care less about his personal life. The only thing I care about is how he drives and how many wins!
I think these people that flip out over someones opion should really seek some kind of help.

So what if jimmy and jeff are gay I say good for them, It's about time nascar tried to open up even more and reach a new group to take money from.
I on the other hand hate jimmy....he thinks he is a good driver....he gets luck put him head to head with any other driver, with the same car, and Jimmy will loose, 95% of the time.
I am not a Gordon fan but he is at least a respectible driver.

I think it's just that some drivers are pretty boy's!I don't care for Johnson ,but I wouldn't call him gay. The reason fans get mad is because of the country boy attitude. I come from a small hick town .If someone didn't like someone or something it was gay.If the driver is or is not gay ,oh well,as long as they are driving an American made car!

I wonder who you are responding to because I dont flip out when someone calls Jeff or Jimmie gay since I am huge fan it just bugs the crap outta me that people think they are whne hello they both are married and I posted something like that on that question about NASCAR drivers being gay, its not a bad thing and yet people think that if the drivers are that they will be looked down upon or something stupid its not a big deal, and yet I dont know of any NASCAR driver that is it really wouldnt bug me I would be like its a fact but I base who I like and dislike based on their actions on and off the track like getting arrested for drunk driving like Kurt and Kyle Busch did makes me not like them alot but I personally dont like them at all because they do things on the track that I dont like. I think that people base NASCAR on being for rednecks or hillbillies and guess what its not their are white, black, and other races in NASCAR, so its really not that big of a deal, and who cares it doesnt matter as long as they can do their job as a racecar driver then who really cares, the owners, the crew cheifs, the crew, I dont think so, people jsut have different opinions, and like I said people on a daily basis call Jeff or Jimmie gay right, and its common knowledge that their both married and then Jeff is expecting a kid, so that rules out that fact, so its like get over it and they only say that because hes better then their favorite driver more then likely. I swear does it matter they dont care so why should we.

Most Nascar Fans are country boys and didn't grow up on or near Brokeback Mountain. Therefore, to call "their" driver gay is a major insult.
Jeff Gordon is Gay though! Not really just thought I would encourage the "Flamers" to speak out.

It isn't really ALL drivers that attract that label, now is it? Seems to me that in the recent history, there are only one or two. Even when Dale Sr was coming up, the die hard Petty fans couldn't put the gay tag on him.
Tags like that don't often stick without an ounce of truth.

From the length of your question I think YOU are the one offended. Most people ask this type of question because they have nothing better to do. Who cares who is gay or not. But, there are some 12 year olds out there who think it funny or provocative to call someone gay. As I said to a previous question asker, I think the whole gay thing started when Tim Richmond died of HIV back in the 80's. He was quite a party-er and 2 ladies he had been with also showed up HIV positive. Whether it was from drugs or sex it was never known, nor was it known who he contracted the illness from. But, HIV back then caused gay questions to fly. I think that was the start of the rumors. Now, every guy who looks in the least bit handsome is called "gay"

Alright, first of all, you are right. Who cares? Well, I guess everyone needs something to cheer for. Second of all, the term "gay" has more meanings today than just "homosexual". It used to mean " happy" but now it can mean, ridiculous, jakey, mismatched. Unfortunately, these people who are getting angry about this, probably have one-circled-track minds and can not get past the homosexual aspect of the word.
