Theres really no easy way...I found that reading about fitness (on these forums and in magazines) keeps me motivated. Find something that motivates you: a friend, an old pic, anything. Use it when times are tough. There are soooo many tempations out there that it is always hard...people are constantly bombarded with junk food images. So I keep in mind two things:

1) A setback does NOT mean the end of my diet
2) Just because its hard doesnt mean I can't do it

If i keep those things in mind, it helps me avoid guilt if i slip up or it gets me through a difficult moment.
Also, staying hydrated will keep you from eating when your really just thirsty.

Dont' let yourself get hungry in the first place. Eat small meals throughout the day, and you'll be less apt to overeat and blow your diet.

Something I like to think is this quote: "You can and will stay in shape for a lifetime. What you don't have to do is get in shape for a lifetime." I think of this when I'm about to blow my diet... Do I really want to set myself back? Will it be worth it? There will still be pizza, cookies, etc. when you reach my goal. It can wait!

You shouldn't go to places where they have chocolate because that makes you want to have one just one and then your diet is ruined. Same thing goes for fast food like hamburgers, french fries, hot dogs, ETC.

You'll last much longer if you allow yourself a little bit of chocolate cake instead of denying yourself cold turkey.
