It depends on what you're looking to do with it. The 240SX is currently very popular with the sport/compact "drifting" crowd, and prices on them are up. It has rear wheel drive, and with all the bolt on parts on the market, you can do almost anything with it. Resale will probably be higher on this vehicle. The Honda Accord is a perennial favorite due to superior design and build quality, and once again, there are tons of aftermarket parts for it also. Being front wheel drive, you'll get better performance in wet and snow conditions, but you'll give up a bit if you're looking to do serious performance upgrades.
I'm biased toward the Nissan 240SX, since I have a new Nissan 350Z and after 3 years of German Autobahn driving at 130 MPH I haven't had a single problem. I also know a lot of people who've had 240SX's and other Nissans with 100K plus miles on them with VERY few problems. My 2c worth.

I prefer the 240 SX. I owned a '90 SX SE and I loved it. My only wish had been at the time was that it was a 5 speed. (My only wish now is that I still had it). It ended up really not even mattering because I totaled it one night chasing my sisters skank girlfriend who I thought I was going to get some from. I left the bar that she had just been working at, filling me with extra strength Kamikazes. I was up around 100 mph or so and ran out of road, while at the same time braking and hoping that my new speed rated Firestone Firehawks would stop me on a dime. I didn't get slowed down in time and I went off the road, took out a telephone pole, and ended up with a broken ankle, a DUI and a totaled car. I sure miss it though. I had allot of fun in it and till this day (12 yrs later) it's the nicest car I had ever owned. I went to a American made piece of junk Chevy Cavalier after that. I'm now back in a foreign vehicle, a Toyota and I wouldn't buy anything else.

As far as the Honda. Never had one but as with the 240 SX, there is a ton of bolt ons for both cars and they both are pretty reliable and good on gas.

Lessoned learned, "Don't drink and drive."

well, Honda's are well known for their dependability and resale values where the 240sx is not as good on the resale but just the same a good car.
I owned a 1990 Nissan 240sx and I can tell you honestly it was one of the best cars I have ever owned.
It always ran great and was very smooth riding.Plus it was very good on gas, especially at highway speeds.
I never owned a Honda but have worked on plenty of them in my 20 yrs as an auto body man and just like all earlier Honda's they are rust buckets. especially over the rear wheel area and floor boards.
Hope this helps, Good luck!

I personally like the 240SX, but that's just me.
they both have tons of aftermarket parts you can put on them.
It just comes down to personal preference.

I'd get the Honda. They're safe, and will last for a very long time. They're very popular, and trade-in value would be good, as well.
