I know you tip waiters 15-20 percent but is that a bit much for a haircut?

I usually tip my about five dollars. Just depends on where you go, what you have done, and how much it is. Remember, you want to get on the good side of your hair stylist. That way you can get in whenever and they always do a good job.

I am an aspiring hair stylist and I would appreciate at least 15 percent. I also think that the tip is dependent upon the job being well done. I would much rather prefer receiving a $5.00 tip from a happy customer than receiving a $20.00 tip from someone who is not happy with her hair.
