Aren't you about tolernace, understanding?
Perhaps your anger indicates that something indeed is missing. And you interpret us as something other than caring, because there can only be one truth.

Because they are not free thinking. That is just an illusion they hide behind so that they can take license to do anything they want without penalty.

Bigoted? nononooo.... This isn't bigotry, its retaliation. Most of us were Christians at one time, who "figured it out."

We are about tolerance and understanding in real life- though that will never show on YA (this is the place where everyone can just come and beat each other up verbally or state opinions that we normally would be looked down upon by the general populace- due to the vast number of Christians over the rest). Our anger is stemmed from a lifetime of being surrounded by self-righteous Christians who automatically assume that they know "the only one truth" and that everyone else is wrong. Because Christians are usually in the majority, they tend to push a lot of their moral system into places where it doesn't belong- schools and government institutions and other people's bedrooms for example. This creates a big roadblock to comfortable living for those of us who choose an alternate path. We tend to find this rather infuriating, as it is quite unfair. Caring is a good word to describe many Christians, but Tyrannical describes just as many, if not more.

Your last sentence: "Perhaps your anger indicates that something indeed is missing. And you interpret us as something other than caring, because there can only be one truth."- that is a prime example of what I'm talking about.

I, personally don't have a problem with people who have strong beliefs. That is a good thing for some people- as many can derive a great deal of comfort or security from that. I have a problem with people who use phrases like "there can only be one truth." I refer to those people as @$$h0les- phrases like that usually come out of people who are bigoted and self-righteous.

There are some contributors of any team it extremely is unfair in direction of yet another. on the finished, the majority have not got a issue with a individual being Christian or with Christianity. To hate something is to have thoughts for it. maximum atheists in simple terms have not got self assurance in God and leave it at that. it incredibly is an extremely few that incredibly hate or dislike anybody faith over the different.

Most of us don't object to people believing whatever they like, just so long as they don't try to force their preferred beliefs on others. Some Christians tend to do that. They're not alone in this, but they are the main problem, at least for Americans. You don't see Wiccans or Buddhists trying to legislate their religious beliefs.

We're not bigots. We just want people of all faiths and philosophies to have the same religious freedom that some Christians (not all) seem to think belongs to them alone.

Atheists in the USA talk about the Xian god and Xianity so much because of the profound impact Xianity has on them. Xianity is in our face everywhere we go. Everywhere Xians are attempting barbaric takeovers in an attempt to strip us of our rights. Everywhere in the USA there are Xians trying to destroy the wall between church and state. Xians trying to make belief in god a requirement and the rules of the bible our laws. Xians forget that the last time the church and state were one is referred to as The Dark Ages. It is a major concern. Xians trying to ban the teaching of evolution in schools. Xians trying to force religion on our children. Xians burning books. Xians showing up at gay funerals with signs that read "God hates fags". Xians shooting abortion doctors and blowing up clinics. Xians (Pat Robertson for one) grouping us morally with child molesters, murderers, and thieves. Xians like Former President George Bush saying we're not even citizens. Xians everywhere are in an all out attack to destroy us and they have the audacity to think we would not be concerned? Atheists do not go knocking on doors telling Xians that they are stupid and they're going to hell and how sorry we feel for them. Atheists don't tell Xians what to think and what to believe in. The Xian fundies claim they are being assaulted by us, yet they are the ones who do all the assaulting.

Nothing is missing, if fact there are a few ideas that still need to be eradicated.

That is a very good question considering christmas is actually a pagan festival which the early christians adopted. It was being celebrated in the northern hemisphere about 5000 years before the birth of Jesus.

They are not. It is just that there are mostly Christians here. The rest will have to wait. If you think that the Muslims are not suffering check out something called "faithfreedom" and see.

http://www.faithfreedom.org/

And the truth is your religion is a hateful despicable fraud and God is imaginary.

HA!! You are fooling yourself.

We are not about tolerance. I refuse to tolerate a religion that is going to end up being the death of me or you or anyone else. Tolerating nice religious people is a gateway to having to tolerate fundamentalists, which I refuse to tolerate.... So, who ever told you we are tolerant?

What is even more amusing is your ignorance and arrogance in beleiving that we are missing out on something or that we are angry.... If Muslims were attempting to force their beliefs into laws in this country, would you too mot be angry and upset and spoeaking out against it? This is why I hold disdain for you Christians. Then, you sit upon your high horse, JUDGING us and talking about how peaceful and tolerant your religion is - and then you speak out against homosexuals.

HYPOCRITES!

Atheist anger toward Christians stems from Christians trying to convert any religion that is not their own. As you travel around the world the Atheists have problems with other dominent religions who attempt conversion of those who have none.

Let me answer that question with a question, that may just put this in perspective for you...

Why were all the "freedom-loving" American revolutionaries so bigoted against the British?

I hope you can understand that correlation.
