I'm a junior and a girl. My view: just ask her out. Relax, breathe, she's human and asking her out is the same as if you were to ask another freshman or sophomore.
Just be calm,sweet, and respectful rest will fall in place.
She'll find you cute and gutsy!
P.S. Do get to know her first. If you already do then ask away!
