No, because IQ stands for Intelligence Quotient. An IQ is determined not by the knowledge of facts and figures but the cognitive ability to understand this information and the relationships to everything else.

A computer doesn't know anything or interpret anything. People put information in it and it spews out results without any interpretation. Artificial Intelligence is an attempt at bridging that gap.

When a computer is connected to the Internet it has access to more facts and figures than at home. But this data is input from some other human. An interpretation has been inputted by another person.

By analogy, you would say that a library has a high IQ. But again the presence of facts and figures don't make you intelligent.

NO...I.Q. = Mental age/ actual age x 100.

eg A 14 year old with a mental age of 7 would have an IQ of
7/14x100 = 50.
..because a computer cannot age as humans do, it can 't have an IQ like we do.

Intelligence isnt just about having information or about passing intelligence tests - it's what you do with it. I would say that intelligence is a human attribute, so therefore a computer isn't intelligent. It will only do what the programmers tell it - including those that learn etc.

No it is only a tool, one has to know how to find information to utilize the internet, and the computer can't process the actions required to do so.

I don't think so. In order for a computer to have IQ, you have to enter information onto it.

To me, intelligence measures your ability to learn and comprehend. A computer is a machine, and machines don't learn or comprehend.
