The bills don't get paid..and your girlfriend leaves and doesn't give you none that is usually a sign that you are dead on it

If you find yourself getting up at the same time every morning whether you want to or not, going to work in a office five days a week to do a job that sucks, and it still seems to you that you're doing OK, then that's usually the clincher.
Of course, there's other shiit like breathing, heartbeat and brain activity - but the "being alive" bit is the main thing.

Death is like a dream some people say. If you can realise when you are dreaming that you are dreaming , then when you'll be dead you will realise that too. The experiences are similar because out-of-the-body experiences are the same.
Practically, just jump. If you begin to fly, you know that you are dreaming...
or dead... :)

Well, if you're not breathing, your heart has stopped, and you've crapped your pants; you are probably dead. If you're still not sure at that point, wait a few days and see if insects start breeding on and in your body. Also, after a few days, you will stink really badly. And they put you in a big black ziploc baggie.

My cousin Ray Ray died once, and he says that the way he found out he was dead was when people locked him in this really comfortable box and chucked him in a big hole. Up until that point, the poor guy thought he was alive.
Now, he spends most of his time wondering how he ever knew that he was alive.

Yeah that whole not breathing, not functioning thing usually screams death. However, you can stop breathing and still be alive. As with most things death is complicated and a rather extensive topic. Check out the source..

You know that you are dead by checking that persons pulse. You do this by puting your pointer and middle finger together and then feeling by the upper neck/jaw. if you feel a pulse then their alive. If not then their dead.
