Depends what type of mushrooms your cooking but if they're button mushrooms or ones of a similar shape like chestnust mushrooms: cut into quarters and put in a pan on a low to medium heat with a little bit of water just to stop them sticking. Sprinkle with salt and fresh black pepper and leave to cook. The salt brings out all the mushroom juices. Add some garlic if you want, or finish with a little butter to make it richer. Could also substitute the water for a little white wine.

There are many ways to cook mushrooms; however, my family's favorite is to slice them at least 3/8 of an inch thick (If the mushrooms are small, leave them whole); sautee in butter with salt to taste and a very small amount of liquid smoke. How much butter you use depends on if you are trying to cook low fat or do not care. My family also likes steak strips and mushrooms. I usually use equal weights of steak and mushrooms. Brown the meat (I slice very thin; also depends on quality of meat); add butter and thickly sliced mushrooms and cook until done. Do not overcook mushrooms. At the end add some green onions cut to about 1 1/2 inch lengths. Serve with rice. Don't forget the liquid smoke in this one too--it makes a big difference in taste as do the green onions.

It looks like the 'shrooms are to be 'fried'
Cut them into 1/4 then dribble some oil over them
(NOT OLIVE OIL !) move them around so that they
are coated (not soaked) no salt no pepper.
get the frying pan very hot, when hot enough
put in the mushrooms,do not touch !.
Mushrooms give out a lot of water (like meat)
let the water evaporate before you move them.
When you have excess liquid, drain & cook some more
until it's a paste, then put the offenders back & stir,
(don't forget the s & p plenty of P )

For fried mushrooms the best way is to make sure the frying pan is very very hot, add a tiny amount of oil and butter and fry the mushrooms very fast. It should only take a few minutes. Done this way you control the amount of oil the mushrooms absorb.

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! Learn here https://tr.im/py20f
As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

I have blanched them straight into a deep fat frier in its basket for about 20 seconds or so, shake the basket well to get rid of most of the oil and finish it oiff in a pre heated frying pan. I like them done in buter and oil but I have to watch my cholestrol.
I love those huge stuffed mushrooms.

Microwave proof container, mushrooms into container, large knob of butter, black pepper to taste (loads) then microwave for about a minute, keep your eye on it. They are really tasty. I always boil mushrooms before frying as they retain there shape and don`t go floppy.
