The moment a lay person becomes a priest, he becomes a priest forever. The reason is very simple. During the laying on of hands where a bishop ordains him to priesthood, it is actually God Himself doing the ordination and not the bishop. Same goes for confession, baptism, matrimony, etc. These are sacraments instituted by God and done by God through his apostles, and whoever followed them subsequently.

So simply put: why will a priest seize being a priest if the very hand of God Himself turned him into a priest? So no matter what he does, rape a woman, marry 3 homosexuals, become an aerobics instructor, and even convert to other faiths, no power, sin, action, force on earth can take away what God has given.

What the priest does as a result of his being human, is really another story.

Capish?

Hello Enlight10,

Thank You for sharing the timesonline.co site. I went to it and read the article, I must confess that the Priest has a problem. I believe he is confused, for a minister of the cloth to convert when he knows the truth is very frighting.

He said he changed his name because the meaning is happiness, if its happiness that he is in search of why didn't he just pray to the lord and savior and ask for it. I know he is aware of what the word of God said about serving other Gods.

What makes him think that it is OK to worship other Gods. He also talk about the Hindus divinity of Jesus, and how it is a more tolerant and open faith.

If he is looking for excuses to sin then Hinduism is the religion for him, because the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob said: (QUOTE). I am the Lord God, and my Glory will I not share with another. He will have to give an account to God for his actions.

Thank you for sharing.

can't click the link sorry. But as long as he still believes in Christ he's still Christian. Doesnt' matter what religion he preaches. The basis of Christianity is Christ, not the bible. All religions are essentially the same. They all feed off of each other. So I guess hooray to him for keeping an open mind. I'm Christian and I think hinduism has very valid points. As do the buddhist, Jews and Islamic.

This shows that a) Christianity is so scared of losing its adherants that it is even willing to STILL call those that convert away from it as "Christians", and b) that this guy has obviously been taken in by Paschals Wager!! He is covering alll his bases!

I didn't click your link but there are plenty of Christians that don't walk the walk. If everyone lived according to the Word then this world would be a better place

*hmm...two thumbs down...where the disagreement? not everyone walks what they talk and if people loved one another then the world would be better...hmmm

I didn't click your link because of all the devil worshippers on this site, but I do think it's not right if he follows another religion to still be in charge of leading his original religion. If you're not Christian, you shouldn't lead other Christians in worship.
