Do you wear a lot of weave or braids? If so that may very well be your problem.

It may be getting rubbed out. If that is the side of your head that you lay on when you are sleeping, this can be the cause. You may want to wrap your head in a satin scarf at night or get satin pillow cases, the satin material is less rough on your hair and will help your hair retain moisture while cotton pilow cases pull moisture from your hair. Use a moisturizing conditioner once a week and try to get moisture back in your hair to prevent further breakage.

If you dye your hair contantly that could be one of the reasons. If you don't condition your hair constantly that could be one. If you don't cut the dead ends of your hair constantly that could be another one. Braiding your hair all the time I don't think is a point in which it would thin or break. I say you would need to have it checked since there's so much possibilities of why you hair is thining / breaking constantly.

Consult a dermatologist while the thinning is still recent. He might be able to treat the condition before it gets worse.

My hair started to thin out a while ago and I started taking vitamins and minerals for hair and nails, it worked a treat. Do this and don't stress your hair i.e. dying it or pulling it tight alot etc.

It may be due to stress or pulling your hair too tightly. Use a growth formula on your hair to get it to fill in on that one side. Suggestion: Dr. Miracle's "Feel It" Formula works really well.

Sometimes too much caffine can cause thinning and breakage. Also, vitamin B6 and B12 can help restore your hair.
