hair dryer, because I didn't know she had dropped it in the sink. The thing blew up and shocked me. Should I be upset with her and tell her to never leave a wet hair dryer laying around again, or should I just go buy her a new one since it was partially my fault?

Go buy her a new one. Stress to her that she should be more careful and not go leaving her wet things around for anyone to fondle.

Talk to her about the risks, don't get upset with her, and maybe buy or help to buy her a new one. At 13 chances are it was an honest mistake. Make sure she understands the danger of using a hair dryer around water, and that it could kill someone.

She should have let u know this is very important especially if other little ones are around it imagine if they had touched it. You should let her know it was wrong and she should of let you know because something worst could have of happened. And definetly she does not deserve a new one until she is taught the dangers of it and how to care for it and if something happens to let you know. Good luck!

I would look into getting some counseling. Are you sure she didn't drop it in the sink on purpose, leaving it out there, hoping you would fry and die?

Did your hand stink later. Next time give her a towel to dry up when you come into her bathroom.

you should definitely educate her about the danger of hairdryer in contact with water and you'll probably end up buying a new hairdryer anyway, maybe she didn't know...
