In 2001 we all received a Tax Relief Fund check. Since then I have not heard or recieved one? What has happened to this program? Is the government still doing this ? If so how do I find out aboutnot receiveg a check?

That was a one-time thing. Was basically an advance payment for the decrease in tax rates that took effect then. You're still getting the lower tax rates, but the effect comes when you file your return instead of getting a separate check for it.

If you are talking about the check you received for Child Tax Credit, it was a one time deal. It was called Advance Child Tax Credit. If you were eligible to claim the child, then you received the check. It was an advance of a portion of the Child Tax Credit that you would receive when you filed your 2003 return. These checks were actually received in 2002. Below is a link to the IRS regarding this.

it was given to the rich to help the poor. and to further help the poor, the government has started charging a fee to process the EZ forms. but they don't tell anyone.
