I am sending out an email to my kids and family that knew and gre up with this dog for the 14 years of his life. I am doing a slide show in Power Point and I can't think of a good song for the life of me. I thought I would come to you for help. Thanks in advance.

Another vote for "Tears in Heaven". It was written for his son, and dogs are like our children.

I also like "To Where You Are" by Josh Groban. Makes me cry every time.

Another one is "Great Gig In The Sky", an instrumental by Pink Floyd

"Every Time I See Your Picture" by Luba. That one's a tear-jerker too.

"Golden Slumbers" by The Beatles

When an animal dies it goes to the Rainbow bridge:Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

The song that would be perfect is the Rainbow connection

It depends on the mood of song you want. Do you want it to be sad? Happy? What was your dog's personality like? I like the song by Queen you're my best friend, since my dog is my best friend that's a song I would suggest. Hope this helps. Sorry about your loss.

"Your Face"-Mandy Moore
The Mariah Carey/boy 2 men song mentioned previously
Time of your life- Greenday

Have you thought about putting the Rainbow bridge poem in the slideshow. It's really good.

Sorry to hear about your doggie.

SOMEWHERE OUT THERE (James Ingram and Linda Ronstadt)

Somewhere out there,
Beneath the pale blue night,
Someone's thinking of me,
And loving me tonight.
Somewhere out there,
Someone's saying a prayer,
Then we'll find one another,
In that big somewhere out there.

(Chorus 1)
And even though I know how very far apart we are,
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star,
And when the night will start to sing
A lonesome lullaby,
It helps to think we're sleeping underneath the
Same big sky.

(Chorus 2)
Somewhere out there,
If love can see us through,
Then, we'll be together,
Somewhere out there, out where dreams, come true.
