In my opinion it is just another get rich quick scheme in effort to devalue the American Championship name for people with dogs who have actually earned the right to their REAL American Championship. BYB will be capitalizing on this one! :0(( I think it would be a better idea if they called it the "Pet Champion Club" and in order to achieve the title the animal must be spayed/neutered with proof sent into the club. Otherwise you have the public duped into believing that any breeder can be working/breeding with Champion stock dogs!

Now any idiot can have a Ch. I agree this is just another byb scam to have CHs to help sell their puppies.

I think pinkdenial is giving the average american consumer WAY too much credit. Of coursen they will fall for it! The average american consumer will believe pretty much whatever someone tells them.

Presumably, potential buyers who care about AKC papers will know that the ACC is not a real champion registry. Those buyers aren't going to be fooled, and they wouldn't be going to BYB anyway.

BYB aren't exactly starving for clients, either. These certificates aren't going to bring them business that they don't already have.

In short, the ACC isn't a threat to reputable, AKC breeders, and it isn't going to help BYB. It's just a fun certifcate for pet owners to have just because they want it.

Have you ever heard of the "Who's Who" books? Like, "Who's Who in American Colleges", etc.? No one is fooled into thinking that being in this book actually makes someone famous. These certifcates are the same thing.

It is a scam registry trying to get rich off selling these championship papers for $45 each. I hope people will not fall for this! Of course some will.

I'm wondering, why even bother sending them the $45? I could make up something just as "official looking" on my computer. Create my own "club", vote my dogs Champions and voila! I have my very own line of Champions.

Bogus scam devised to rip the uneducated off. People will fall for it because it requires time and energy to research, train and care for an accomplished dog. I find it highly offensive!!
