You hear about 1st loves getting back together all the time after 30, 40, 50 years - As for 5 to 10 years, it is absolutely possible. You will need to take time to rekindle you friendship before loving starts. You may find that it is a very fulfilling time of your life that will work out for the rest of your life.

I am married to a woman I grew up with and went to school with. We each liked each other but didn't let the other one know. We have known each other for 25 yrs. We lost touch for 10 of those years when I ran into her mother. We started talking again and ended up falling in love. We had both been previously married and were just recently divorced. We believe God played a part in us reuniting because 6 months after running into her mother she passed away. We lived 600 miles away from each other at that time so the chances of reuniting on our own were nil. I believe anything is possible in this crazy wold we live in.

If the things you loved about each other are still reality (or even were reality) then maybe. I think that many sweetheart situations are built of dreams and projections, but I know of a few couples who found each other again later and found that when the immaturity went the good qualities became refined. I hope this is true for you.

Yes it can work. I first dated my husband when we were 14/15 years old. We were quite in love, each others first and all that. But when you are young you tend to listen to your friends more than your heart so we ended up breaking up.
We stayed close over the years as friends. Then one night 18 years later we met up again, fell in love, got married and now have a wonderful son together.
It was nice because there isn't any secrets or skeletons that we don't know about. He is not only my partner & husband he is also my best friend. There isn't anyone else who I can be completely open & honest with...about EVERYTHING & ANYTHING.
So yes it can happen!!

I dated this guy my senior year of high school. We broke up when I left for college. I've been out of high school for almost 7 years, and I married him two years ago. We got back together 3 years after we broke up. We had both changed and matured. Everything worked out great. It's completely possible.

Definately. But one thing that is most important. People change and don't just think they are perfect. You have to get to know them again. Learn them inside and out, thier views of the world, the future, thier likes and dislikes. Most important, what thier expectations are and that they are aware of yours.

Just because you knew them before, doesn't mean you already know them.

I have heard of this watching shows on miracles, but I feel that is what it may take! If something is in the cards, then it will happen. If not, then there is nothing we can do about it.
