Otherwise you must fly to Pisa airport and once there take a train or a bus to Pisa (there are regular connections to Florence after any landing).Ryanair and Westernair are flying from Glasgow to Pisa,

There is an airport in Florence, it's called A. Vespucci. But there isn't a direct flight from Glasgow, but there is going to pisa with ryanair or british airways. Then Pisa is really close to Florence. Otherwise u can go to Rome, but it takes a lot to reach Florence because if u go to fiumicino airport (the main one), it is a bit out of Rome, so u have to take a train to get to Roma Termini and then take another train to Florence. So it's about 3-4 hours. If u go to Ciampino (the othe airport) u cannot reach Termini station but by taxi (and taxis are really expensive in Italy!). Otherwise if u go from pisa to florence it takes just 1 hour and 15 min by train.

Gallileo Galilei Airport in Pisa is served by RyanAir, British Airways, and some others. After you walk out of the airport, you can catch a train (there's about one an hour) to the downtown Florence trainstation. The train ride lasts about an hour, but it is an enjoyable ride through the Italian countryside.

Reunite time and again and you however will not see everything, this is exactly what could happen for you if you may spend your vacation in Florence; with hotelbye you will find out more. Remarkably little as it is, that riverside town looms large on the world's'must-sees'list. Cradle of the Renaissance and of tourist masses that head here to food on world-class art, Florence is really a magnetic, passionate and busy city. The Piazzale Michelangelo (The Michelangelo Square) is one of many places you need to see in Florence. That square is just a large, partially pedestrian zed square located over the Arno River from the hub of Florence. From the square visitors have a superb view on the city. The roomy square was laid out in 1860 by Giuseppe Poggi, a nearby architect who is also noted for his formation of boulevards round the centre of Florence. Located at the hub of the city's main market section, the Basilica di San Lorenzo is one of the oldest churches of Florence and was the burial place of all the key members of the Medici family. Don't wait! Florence and their superb treasures await your visit!

Pisa is the nearest (Florence has a small airport). You can also fly to Rome and take a train (1.40 h. to Florence, every hour)

Venice (Venezia) actually needs number introduction, see how to get there with hotelbye . This town is a huge fabled destination for centuries. Just the name Venice will do to conjure up a bunch of pictures, actually for people who have not even set base in Italy. From gondoliers in striped tops to the Rialto and the Bridge of Sighs, bad balls, golden barges, courtesans in gondolas and crumbling palaces experiencing roads made from water Venice is an amazing city. Once the sole connection over the Grand Canal, Rialto Bridge scars the location of the island's first settlement, called Rivus Altus and has become one of many a lot of place that Venice must offer.
