Are they still requiring passengers to remove their shoes and put them through x-rays at Birmingham International Airport?

Personally, I think this is a good idea as there are probably a fair few terrorists out there.

Yes, they are. I had to take my mom to the Birmingham International Airport just before Thanksgiving, and just recently picked her up. Both times I saw security ask people to remove their shoes. They have a fairly small airport, but their security is great. They are following all of the governments airport regulations. Make sure you follow the rule about keeping fluids and gels in one quart size zip-lock bag. I saw a few people have to leave line and walk around asking people if they had an extra bag. You can check their website for their rules, plus they have a link to TSA's website. Just look under passenger info.

Yes, all airports are still requiring people to do that. Sometimes the TSA wil ignore it for some reason.. but ussualy everybody still has to basically get undressed at security...

i understand that's no longer the respond to what you pick yet study it any way! FedEx or united statesyour bags to the hotel. they're going to hold it till you get there and effective hotels will take it up on your room for you. you will save hastle on the airport and you will understand you bags is secure. I do it all the time, Its the suited thank you to go! P.S. call the airline to confirm!

same thing happens at Laguardia and jfk... shoes belts and even jackets. i had worn fleece they made me take that out too. i guess that's fine who cares i don't have to travel in a plan every single day..
