The fundamental core beliefs in Buddhism and Christianity are the same. That being the "Golden Rule". "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you".
If you do good things to and for others, good things will happen to you.
That however.....is where it ends.
All the good things you do in your lifetime add up to nothing, if you don't believe in Christ. You do not get into heaven by works, but by Faith and, Faith alone. That faith, given only by the grace God, through the Holy Spirit. All Gods children say, AMEN.

If I was to narrow it down to the nitty-gritty I would have to say:
1. Buddhism is self-centered "The reason for existence is to achieve personal happiness" Dali Llama (current one)
2. Christianism is God-centered & man-centered, "Love God, love people." Bible
