Bought the steaks fresh, froze them, and they have been in the fridge for 6 days. Is it edible?

You're really close. I'd eat them today. Our fridge takes about 3 days to thaw something, and we use it within 3 days of total thawing. So that's 6 days right there. Make 'em tonight!

I would cook and eat them now!!! Most fresh meat is only good for about a week. If you freeze it and then thaw it out you should eat it within a few days of thawing it out. It only stays preserved while its frozen. And dont put it back in the freezer like the other poster suggested. That ruins meat.

I'd eat it soon. I wouldn't keep anything thawed in the fridge for more than a week. If you don't plan on eating it today or tomorrow I'd put it back in the freezer.

Yes.

Store packaged beef will last up to 6 to 8 months in the freezer.
Chicken and pork about the same.

If you have a vacum sealer, up to tripple the amount of time.
