you can never seem to completely put out of your mind? Not that you wish to rekindle anything, but they left such a lasting impression on your heart......from time to time your mind wanders and you remember times with them...things they said and did.....

"... See there's this place in me where your fingerprints still rest, your kisses still linger, and your whispers softly echo. It's the place where a part of you will forever be a part of me." This quote was not written by me, but it says it all. I believe everyone that has ever loved and lost someone feels this way. And yes, when i read it i know who i think about, luckily her and i still talk and maintain a friendship.

Yes. Exactly that & I keep wondering if it means that more was supposed to happen between us than actually did? Sometimes it can mean something but other times I think it just may be a coincidence- I know for a fact that when you are thinking about someone (all of a sudden) it usually means they are doing the same. Also, it's ok to remember back to happy times that you shared with a certian person. I do it all the time. It doesn't mean that I want to marry the guy or rekindle anything. I myself just love remembering really special moments from the past because a lot of times it's fun to!

Yes there is. My old boyfriend was at the time my best friend. When I hear a certain song that we use to listen to or hear a joke that reminds me of him. Some people are not ment to leave your mind. At least that is how I feel.

Yes, it's only natural when someone has been a part of your life. I wish I could get my ex out of my mind but I know that he'll always be a part of me. You just have to know when to move on.

Yes, and I still dream about him. I've been happily married for 18 years, but my first love will always have a very special place in my heart, my head, and my dreams.

Yes, it's completely normal. I think everyone (regardless of whether or not they admit it) has someone like this in their past that they can never forget. You're not weird or obsessed. Don't be so quick to question yourself or your feelings.
