If you're in the market for a new camera, perhaps you should consider a Digital SLR like the Canon Rebel. The marketers have everyone buzzing about MegaPixels, but in reality its the lens system that gives you the biggest bang for your $'s. 6Mp is overkill for most photography applications, but its an easier sell than trying to sell a 200-500mm zoom lens for $1000. If you truly want great pictures an SLR is the way to go. If you're happy with snaps, anything will do.

Hi!

Great question! I definately suggest the Sony Cybershot...excellent photos and has a non-blurry feature so important in digital photography. Also is not so sensitive to light as some are.

Also, any Cannon midpriced digital is excellent. I have seen the results from both these cameras and they are excellent!

I have the Sony and I love it but it can be a bit complicated to use. We got my step-son the the canon for Christmas and it seems to be less complicated and has great pictures. Really depends on what you want to use the camera for and what features you will really use, they sell a ton of features that most people never really use on the camera. I agree about the 6,7,etc mega pixel stuff unless your going to blow up a life size poster it is a bit unnecessary.
