No. There is no Holy Trinity in Islam. Mohammed was a man and a mortal prophet and messenger. He simply carried a divine message to the people of the earth.
"Holy Spirit" is used in Islam, or the Quran, as another name for the archangel Gabriel. But the difference here, whereas many Christians view the Holy Spirit as a form or manifestation of God, or even God himself, muslims view Gabriel, the angel, as a creation of God, and not part of Him.
archangel Gabriel's purpose was to deliver divine messages to the prophet Muhammed.

No, the Holy Spirit is not recognized in Islam. In Islam there is no trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Spirit, three persons in one being). Islam recognizes only one personality for God, this is the same as God the Father of the Jews and Christians, the God of Abraham in the Bible. Abraham had two sons Ishmael and Isaac. Ishmael is the father of the Arabs and thus many Muslim peoples, Isaac's offspring, from his son Jacob are the nation of Israel.

Mohamed is the prophet of God, analogous to the prophets of the Old Testament and Jesus Christ, whom Christians consider to be a manifestation of God or one of the "three persons" of God. Islam reveres Jesus, but doesn't consider him God, a point of similarity that Judaism has with Islam. God is the same, the principle of creativity, the alpha and the omega. It's man who constructs religion in his own way and for his own benefit.

I've heard the "Spirit of Truth" attached to him, but we Christians know this as the Holy Spirit.
Because Jesus said another one was coming Parecletus (sorry terrible spelling).
I think that was used to justified Mohammed's claim by future Mullahs. Not even sure if Mohammed made that claim himself.

My view is that he was filled with the holy spirit. Much like other prophets for other religions. All were inspired by God's love and holy spirit, but misinterpeted to include man's selfish desires or social needs.

No. There is no holy spirit. Muhammed(PBUH*) is the last and final prophet of ALLAH that He sent down to perfect Islam.

No. In Islam Mohammad is the last and greatest of the prophets. These prophets are human, not supernatural, but they have been blessed by Allah with a message for the world.
The concept of Holy Spirit is Christian, as a component of the Christian idea of the Trinity. This idea, derived from Hellenism, has no correllate in either Judaism or Islam. In those two religions, the monotheism is more absolute, and the deity concept (G-d or Allah) is undivided.

Islam believes that when Jesus spoke of the Comforter (Holy Ghost) that would come and by him we would know everything, he was speaking of Mohammad.

No!! Muhammad is the spirit of truth not the holy spirit and the comforter. Christians claim that the spirit of truth and the comforter Jesus speaks of in John 16 is the holy spirit but we can clearly see that it isn't. let's take a look at these verses,
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will sent HIM unto you. And when HE is come, HE will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. ... I have yet MANY things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. How be it when HE, the Spirit of truth is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of himself but whatsoever HE shall hear, that shall HE speak.. and HE will show you things to come. HE shall glorify me: for HE shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. (John 16:7-14)
This prophecy clearly lays down that:
1. The Comforter will come after the departure of Jesus.
2. When the Comforter comes, he will reprove the world of sin, truth and justice.
3. He will guide the world into all truth.
4. The book revealed to him will contain no human word.
5. He will foretell things to come.
6. He will glorify Jesus and clear him of all charges.
I WANNA KNOW ONE THING THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS DONE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS CHRISTIANS ARE FACING TODAY. what? show me!!
drinking, gambling, women surplus men, etc. what problems did the holy spirit solve in 2000 years? show me one of the MANY things Jesus was speaking of!
nothing you won't find solutions. no solutions.

Holy spirit has nothing to do with Islam. We, Muslims, see Prophet Muhammad as the messenger of God, thats all.
