Why don't you adopt a homeless Ragdoll or Persian??
I already did the search for Ragdoll and Persian cats in Chicago for you. Just click on the links below....OH look hoe CUTE they all are!

Check the classifieds in your local newspaper under Pets. Quite often people with litters give them away for free. Barring that, you could try your local animal shelter. They usually have adoption fees, but they are minimal. I don't know how hard it would be to find a particular breed like you are looking for, but you can try. You just might luck out.
(Free, or Cheaper? -- How can you get cheaper than free unless they pay you to take it? -- LOL)

Ragdolls are an expensive breed. You might be more lucky with Persians. Try your local shelter.

Check out the animal shelters. Stimpy and I hate to think of the poor cats there, and what may happen if people don't adopt them.

try www.craigslist.org and make sure you find your city and look in the pets section you might find something then
