Why not. Just don't expect a lifetime of fidelity.

I think the answer is simple. Only you know if you can accept this. If you are the jealous type, then this isn't the person for you. The popular situation for your question, is a guy starts dating a stripper then wants her to quit. Thats a bad relationship from the get go. Your typical office jobs sometime offers more indiscretions than an entertainers. Especially if the person is really attractive or nice. You shouldn' ask a person to change their occupation to appease your own insecurities. Love overcomes all. If you can't handle it remember there is plenty of fish in the sea...

If you love them for their personality before their looks, then it generally should not stop you wanting to go out with that person.

It does take alot of patience and compromise to accept that this person is/was an adult entertainer for some.. other ppl just don't care and wanna join in. If you want to go out with them and then want them to stop doing the adult business, that might be a touchy topic depending on if this person plans to stop or not cos it can potentially make or break the relationship. It's a risk in that respect I guess.. If you really want to be together over time, you can (like any other couple), compromise on things.

The only thing I guess u need to check is STDs.

I wouldn't personally because they have other people all over them and I want to be in an exclusive relationship. A mode may not be so bad, but a stripper or porn star definitely not.

Used to be? Sure.

Is currently? Yes, but I'd be much more cautious about letting myself into the heavy emotional feelings toward this person. Not because I think I might be unsafe, but more because this person sees beautiful people all day long. With luck he/she is used to it and it's all academic now. If it's still new enough, there's a chance that someone who looks better to him/her and treats him/her like I do, or better may walk away with my love interest.

However, to avoid a potentially awesome experience and (with luck) a beautiful relationship with someone just because of his/her line of work, or past is self defeatist and I hope no one falls into that pit of despair.

It wouldn't bother me at all. I have couple of friends that in the "entertainment" business, and they are great people, I don't think the person's job should be any reason not to get involved.

NO!!! They have no discreteness about their body, and the joys of love is to enter exclusively into the discrete places of your lover.
