Skiing is not easy, but you can have fun doing it no matter how good you are. Even people who have been skiing for years can make improvements in their technique, so it always stays interesting. It may feel awkward when you start out, but after a few lessons, you should be able to ski on easier runs. If you stick with it, you will keep getting better with time and you will enjoy it more and more.

If you are athletic at all, alpine (or downhill) skiing is fairly easy to learn. BUT, you must get a lesson from a professional ski instructor. All ski areas offer this service. Sign up for a lesson, it will take about an hour and a half, and the instructor will have you going up and down the beginner hill in that time. Like one person mentioned, it is a lot of work learning. After you get on the chair though, you realize the joy of skiing, and the freedom.
I used to teach skiing (for 5 years). Of the hundreds of people I came across, NONE of them quit during the lessons, and as far as I know, only one or two said thanks for the lessons, but they would rather go sit in the lodge. Everyone else wanted to keep going up and down the bunny hill even after we shook hands and I left.

Skiing is challenging at the beginning. The hard part is actually a mental hurdle you need to overcome. It is the idea of allowing yourself to fly down a hill with minimal control. I imagine it is easier if you are younger and not as aware of your mortality.
I just started the sport two years ago at the age of 35. It is a lot of fun, but it is a lot of physical work when you are just starting out. Expect to be tired, possibly half way through the day. Accept that you will fall and generally nothing bad comes of falling, besides a bruise or two.

It all depends on our natural ability, confidence and balance. In general, yes I'd say that it is difficult to get the hang of.
I went skiing for the first time on the 16th and had a great time but it took me about 3 days to really get the hang of it. It's the stopping thats most difficult!

It's balance and coordination... not too difficult. I learned to snow-ski when I was 4 and 5 years old and have skied all my life. I only broke my leg once and my collar-bone. I went on to work Ski-patrol at Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows in California
However, I NEVER was able to WATER-ski !!
Good luck. And understand the English-issues...

The easiest way to learn golf like a pro is by following "The Simple Golf Swing" program. It's primarily a 31 page eBook that teaches golfers how to make solid contact with the ball, how to avoid hitting fat, how to avoid slicing, how get more power, accuracy, and consistency in your swing. Consistency being the number 1 golf skill.
You not only get the eBook though, you also receive a ton of extra material including video, lessons on putting, driving, chipping, sand play etc. Here is their official site: http://www.golfswingguru.net

No, if little kids can ski then I think everyone else can=) You have coordination which will work to your advantage, and leave any fears behind at home bc most instructors are really nice and if you do fall, then they show you how to get back up on your own. Plus, you start off doing boot exercises and stuff so you can get used to le clodhoppers..... then you work up to carving and loving speed over time.....
wear warm clothes nothing tutti frutti and you should have a blast=)

well i guess that depends on how sporty you are. I do quite a lot of different sports and when i went skiing i picked it up straight away. If you have someone teaching you the trick is to just listen intently and do exactly as they tell you and don't try and get too clever too quickly as then you will hurt yourself

If you can skate skiing probably won't be too hard to learn. It isn't all that difficult, its just a matter of teaching your body to act in a certain way.
Its an awful lot of fun once you get the idea.

well it depends, cross country, or downhill, i hav3 only been downhill skiing, it was very hard for me at first. i was beeing schooled, our whole school went and they had ski teachers at buckhill (the place i went) and i fell and it took me a while to figure out how to get up. but once you get the hang of skiing, its very easy to teach yourselfhey to carve down the hill, go off jumps, and all that jazz,i was goin down the expert hill the first day i went skiing. i would go online and look up tips on skiing. i quit skiing and just got a snowboard.
