It's weired!
It seems to be talking in the air, good for nothing, waistage of time.
It is better that one should search a good book on the net and read it.

I have recently met someone online, but due to certain circumstances in our lives and the fact that we live 2300 miles away from each other, we have not yet met in person. That said, I have spoken with him several time on the phone, which has been a good way to get to know each other better. He is planning to come here to visit for a few days and we will see where things go from there.
I think that as long as you are honest with each other, then meeting people online can be a good thing and can lead to great friendships if not great romances.

My only experience with meeting someone online was really bad. I thought she was just a slow typer, turned out she was slow-witted. That said, I'd try it again. I'm looking at the real world to find friends and love, but if I'm never going to meet anyone I talk to online, why should I waste time talking to them? If I'm not going to have even a chance at getting a friend out of the online relationship, I may as well just type into a diary.

No sorry. I met the love of my life online. We have been together since June and I asked her to marry me. I cant see a day in my life without her.
I suggest meeting a person for the first time over coffee. You can usually see if they are going to be a person you want to spend time with in an hour or so. Just listen and be honest and be yourself

I've done it a few times. The 1st time was the worst. But you quickly learn what questions to ask and how to tell if someone is lying or exaggerating. After that 1st time, it was all good. Every person that I met was what I thought they would be. Just always meet in public (preferably during the day), tell someone where your going and who your meeting and don't drink alcohol on the 1st meeting.

I have done it four times, with four different ladies, and I must say, I was very pleased all four times. In each case, they exceeded my expectations. I move slowly, however, and get to know them very well before we meet. I have NO problem at all with them. In fact, I think a lot of all four today, and would love to meet them again at some point. The only bad part I have found is that most of them live a long distance from me, making it hard to spend time with them. I enjoy the experience each time.

Nah, I wouldn't. In fact, during the whole "myspace" craze, I went ahead a made a page for myself, to see what the hype was about. The next morning I had countless messages and women asking to be my friends on this thing. But, one girl seemed completely legitimate, like a down to earth, cool girl. We talked for a bit, and she happened to live a few towns away from me. I was very attracted to her pictures, and she seemed persnoable, but when she asked to meet me in person I said no.
I just find it sketchy, and call me untrusting, but it feels unnatural to try to generate something be it a hook-up or a relationship or whatever, from the internet (let alone stalk-space.com). I may be old fashioned, but I think relationships, both romantic and non should both exist and be created in person.

Meetin people on the net can be tough because you really can't judge what the person is like without really meeting them. I have had some really bad dates by meeting people online and I have had some really good dates. There's nothing wrong either way, just be careful.

I would not recommend starting a romantic relationship with someone whom you have not met in real life.
I have met a number of online friends in real life, and I have had mixed experiences. Some of them were awesome, just as I expected them to be, and we got along fabulously. Others, as soon as I met them in real life, I could tell that their online persona was a farce -- they were nothing like that in real life. And that's why dating online can be so dangerous -- it's very easy to hide behind a keyboard and screen, and many people try to pretend to be what they aren't.

People generally say stuff online they wouldn't say in person. Just consider that when you meet the next person and see if their online persona is consistent with their persona in real life.
I've even been a little guilty of this myself sometimes.

Sure, I'd meet somebody.
But before I did, I would like to speak to them on the phone. That way you can get a 'feel' for the real person.
