We must continually hound and shame our representatives into defeating this bill. "The Price of Freedom is Eternal Vigilance". (Thomas Jefferson). Both Republican and Democrat congressmen have their reasons for supporting amnesty for illegals: Democrats for votes and influence, Republicans as a source of cheap labor. No senators were harmed when Carlos Prieto, a drunk illegal, slammed his car into a family returning from a Christmas party here in Salt Lake City. What do they care? Well, MAKE them care by letting them know that THIS is the issue that will dictate your vote.

Since it is billed as the Senate Bill but 'even bigger' I sure hope not and will write my Congressmen to say so the second I actually read it.

It is no more than I would expect of McCain and Kennedy however. They want to push this through before the new people can organize opposition.

Not without a FIGHT!!!!! Unfortunately, McCain is one of the senators here in my state. I have called his office several times to voice my DISAPPROVAL of his amnesty plan!!!! I e-mail him constantly, also. I will do any and everything (within the law) in my power to STOP his push for amnesty. Even if it means calling him DAILY!!!!
If we don't make a stand and FIGHT for this country, then we are going to lose it!!! We have been INVADED by a third world country, and our politicians are too busy KISSING BUTT trying to get votes, to give a crap!!!! And McCain is one of the biggest butt kissers there is!!!

And, as for Kennedy,( the big fat joke) the ONLY reason he is in office is because of his rich family!!! That, and the FACT that his two brothers were ASSASSINATED,and his nephew was mysteriouly KILLED just as he was about to enter the political race!!! Seems awfully CONVENIENT to me!!!!

No not in the way they want to be.The people don't want amnesty
The political difference between the Democratic Class of 2006 and the old guard Democrats in the House is illustrated by their approaches to immigration policy. There can be little doubt that Pelosi and the new House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) personally favor amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens. However, the newly elected members who put the Democrats in the majority nearly all ran on a platform of immigration enforcement. Not a single Democrat representing a district that changed hands in the last election ran for office promising amnesty, guest worker programs and higher levels of immigration. In fact, nearly all of them promised voters that when they got to Washington they would work to enforce our borders and crack down on illegal immigration.
With the effects of mass illegal immigration ravaging communities from coast to coast, local governments are deciding they can no longer ignore the problem and wait for the federal government to act. Almost weekly, states, counties and cities get aboard the train of jurisdictions deciding to act locally.
McCain is my senator here in AZ, I once respected him as a person but his stand on illegal immigration ,is very ill informed as far as I am concerned

Only if you let them be successful. If you are cool with them giving our country away then do nothing. If not, talk to your local representatives.
