Going out vs Not going out?

Question

What would you do if:
a) you wanted to go out with your friends and your boyfriend didn't want to go out but you wanted him to come along?
b) you wanted to go out with your boyfriend but he didn't feel like going out?

I seem to have trouble with my bf regarding going out. He's 24yrs and i'm 25yrs old. I have a great circle of friends & he doesn't. He seems to have a issue going out with me and my friends. My friends think he's wonderful and they do like him. We've been dating for 1 year. I've known some of my friends for 10yrs +. I enjoy spending time with my friends & would like to partner to join in with me.

Why can we not go out as a couple without having to argue about it?

I've met some of his friends once but he feels that we always end up doing what my friends wanna do - but yet i have never really met his friends. Never has he said "lets go out with my friends". I'd love to meet his friends but i don't think he has many.

I would just like some advice!

obviously hes shy, and ur probably right in saying that he doesnt have many friends. he prob. doesnt want to hang out with your friends becasue they are probably outgoing, loud, and the center of the party; everything hes not. he most likely feels uncomfortable around them and he just wants to be with you. maybe you should try asking him what his favorite thing to do is and do that with just the two of you. hopefully something like that will break him out of his shell; or at least he wont have a shell around you. some times you can't bring the two worlds together. The only time he comes out with us is for b/day. he does not feel comfortable around my friends. So i try to do things he likes to do,
