I live in parkersburg west virgina and I been in the hospital for some time and I am behind on my rent I am affraid of loosing my place anyone have any info on what I can Do I am low income and getting Welfare Help on Food

See your social worker ASAP and explain the details to her. There maybe something for general assistance to help you catch up. Then you better think about somehow bringing in some additional income or you'll be in the cycle forever.

If you wouldn't be opposed to moving, there are income based apartments in Boaz just a few minutes north of Parkersburg on Rt. 14. You might check into them.

Many communities have an organization that provides a one shot "catch up" to help people in your situation. Look them up. Also, cut back on unnecessary expenses.

Have you tried to contact the salvation army, the red cross, or united way? Also if you go to church they may help, if not does a close relative go to church? They could ask for help on your behalf.

ask your worker for a emergency state fund it helps people get bakc on there feet, or the salvation army, united way, churches, action centers, even the y,m,c,a hope this helps and good luck!!
