There are several ways you can get in the CIA. The Military has several career fields that relate to the CIA. My advise to you would be to start there. The Air Force has a branch called OSI, or office of special investigations, much like the FBI, only Air Force style. The Army has the CID. This is where I would start if I was going to try to gain employment with the CIA.

protection stress adventure might want to definately be a PLUS. so some distance as how troublesome it truly is to get a job it relies upon on what style of pastime you want with the CIA. some human beings contained in the CIA merely artwork behind table with pcs even as others are field opertives that do the james bond style of stuff. It also relies upon on what is going on contained in the global on the time as an celebration those who're fluent contained in the Arabic language are extremely well known right now, yet shall we are saying lower back contained in the Nineteen Eighties Arabic does not help a lot yet fluency in Russian might want to have, so there are a good number of factors that shift. yet being contained in the protection stress is a superb commence and being a suitable solider from undemanding education and throughout you occupation can assist. attempt to study a foregin language (ideally a center eastern, or Korean or chinese language) Being and officer oppossed to being an enlisted solider your complete occupation might want to help

I researched this for my daughter a couple of years ago, and at that time, I found that getting a degree in psychology was a good first step. Then, consider going into police work. Computer skills are a must, and foreign languages also give you an edge.
The big thing I learned--and that made my daughter change her career path--was that it's not as fun and intriguing as you'd think. The majority of their staff spend their time at computers all day. Only a select few are in the field doing operative work
Best of luck!

Well you have to have education...then you apply and fill out a ten page application and they tell ya not to tell anyone...then they station you in Washington, D.C.--not the greatest place to live under a covert identity such as a plumber but all your neighbors pass rumors around that you work for the CIA...then they send ya overseas for two years and then back to D.C. area then when you retire you get to wear a hat that you were in the CIA but cannot tell anyone what you did unless a lowlife like President Nixon asks you to m*****r a couple so then they change the altimater in the plane and then admit it to the young boy that he k****d his parents as ordered and then I meet the guy in Las Vegas at a bar who told me how the CIA agent called him and admitted it to him for his own benifit......so all in all everyone will tell ya not to go in the CIA...it a stupid conspiracy theory organization that does stupid things for egotistical maniac Presidents.

CIA employees represent a wide variety of disciplines from an even broader mix of academic backgrounds and experience. Therefore, we don't recommend one academic track over another in general.
The Agency's personnel requirements change from month to month as positions are filled and others become available. Our best advice to you is to do your very best and strive for good grades. Fluency in a foreign language is a good addition. Above all, understand that your choices and behaviors now are a reflection of your personal integrity, character and patriotism.

Consider enlisting in the military and going the "Military Intelligence" route... all branches of the military have "intel" branches.. and if you do well there, you'll probably have an offer waiting for you when you get discharged. However, I'd go in to the military with at LEAST an Associates degree. No intel jobs are going to overlook the college degree requirement...

go to college and major in a field the CIA needs, like criminology, computer security, or something like that. once you graduate you can apply to go to CIA training. Many times they will even come to job fairs at the college.

Anyone can work in the CIA, FBI. Whenever they run into a problem the solution is always the same, break out the checkbook and outsource the solution.
