I gained 5 pounds over the holidays while vacationing and will be working out extra hard and cutting calories to get the extra weight off. Just curious to know what everyone else does to rein their weight back in after the holidays, and how much weight do you have to gain before you hit your "panic mode?" (Mine is 3 pounds and I am panicing!)

Also I am a recovering anorexic and am very active. I run about 4 miles a day but I don't want to fall back into my unhealthy habits.

Eat healthy proteins. I swear by Tuna. But make sure you put nothing such as mayonaise on it. boiled egg whites, salmon, not eating 6 hours before you sleep. Take all your vitamins and drink a lot of Lipton Green tea(its a natual Anti-oxidant). I used to do bathing suit competitions and would go through this "program" only 2 days before a compt. It tones you up fast and controls your appetite. Also just make sure you do a little bit of cardio before you sleep. I do about 5 mins of jumping jacks and sit-ups before i lay down. Your friends or husband might think your crazy, but they've all admitted that they're envious of my body.

Best of luck!

I have a Kashi bar and milk in the morning, Lean Cuisine at lunch and some Weight Watchers recipe for dinner. And of course circuit training or some exercise every day. And yes this happens to me every holiday, graduation.. whatever the event is that promotes eating.

Hi Gemma, Well let see, maybe I can try to help you. I dont know if you are an athletic person, but what I would do is try taking a brisk walk for 15 minutes a day and gradually increase the legnth of your walks say after one month, try adding 10 to 20 minutes more until you start to get the hang of it. Let me know via an e mail how you are doing. Good luck! Jan

Very simple. A doctor recommended resolution :)
Cardiovascular exercise 5 times a week. Basically, bring your heart rate to about 50-60% above your average rate (during warmup) and sustain that rate for 20 minutes. Simple as that :)
Consult your physician though :)

Good luck... no need to panic :)

Mine is about the same as yours, three or four pounds. Try drinking grapefruit juice, it burns fat. That's what works for me.
