After high school, you want to get an Associates Degree in Science, concentrating in law enforcement. Then you can apply to be a police officer.
Check you area that you live in and see if they have Citizens Police Academy's in your town. They are fun and show you what police actually do. It will also look really good on your resume.
Most police jobs only require that you have an Associates Degree. You can get this at a Community College.
This is what I did when I got out of high school. Good Luck

Several places now are requiring a college education for new guys. Get the education required for where you want to work and apply. You'll have to take a physical test, a psychological test, medical examination, and interview. Different agencies probably vary a little bit in the specific requirements (how many miles you have to run, etc.). You'll also have to go to a police academy for a few months. My husband's first police job required 3 months in the academy. Now he is getting a different job, so he has to go back for 6 with an additional four months of field training. He'll be home on his weekends.

You won't receive traffic tickets (family members included). Walk in a restaurant and only pay one third of the bill. Plant evidence when you screw up If you like to rumble, beat up someone. Protect your friends, just don't get caught, 4 Manhattan Police Officers just got busted for lying and a cover up, they might loose one days pay, Lol.

Call your local police department and ask if they have a Police Explorer program. Most of them do. It is a program for teenagers who are interested in learning about law enforcement. You will be able to go on ride alongs with officers (in most states) and volunteer for special details (like parades). They give you a lot of training and advice.
