Everyone is like that. It's easy to say you would do something but not so much actually doing it.

I have actually noticed two distinct Christian faces: 1) the "love everyone because Jesus said to (or at least "hate the sin, not the sinner") when people think I'm Christian" Christan, and 2) the "narrow-minded, bigotted, hateful, violently angry you're a devil-worshipper going to hell repent now when people find out I'm Wiccan" Christian. I encounter the second face an awful lot. And yes, it's very upsetting to be told that I worship Satan and am going to hell and then have the person turn and walk away when I try to explain that Wicca is a peaceful, nature-focused religion that has deep respect for all forms of life and reveres the God and Goddess as creators of all things.

Well, it's to talk online. It's harder to put into practice the words we type. We simply don't know what we'll unless we're in that situation. We are not superhuman and we're not the Christ. We are human and make mistakes. I
ts easy to be what we want to be when people don't know who we are or can see us.
There's nothing wrong with giving advice but we are all guilty of passing judgements, including me.
Personally, I am what I say on these posts. I wouldn't say them otherwise. Would I sacrifice my life for someone else, that's hard to say until I'm in the situation. My basic human nature is to stay alive.
However, you cannot discount the advice given because it comes from imperfect people. God uses anyone, great and small, to get a point across.

What I'll say at the outset, is not meant to ber a "cop out", but the spirit is willing, yet flesh is weak. The apostle Paul even alluded to doing that which he didn't want to do, and not doing what he wanted to do. It is easy for us to sit at a computer terminal and declare the gospel to those who are not face to face with us. In the human (natural, physical) we get bound up in human issues. We face potential rejection. If you were to meet me, and we had some form of interaction, you would probably find someone who was bold, outspoken (to the point of arrogancy) and thereby willling to call a spade a spade, possibly. I wouldn't tell you a lie, especially about yourself. If someone were in a house ablaze and I was the only one around, I'd certainly call for help and attempt to do what was reasonable. Possibly risk my life. If you check out my links, you will find that I've presented enough evidence to the world that I'm a believer (and a staunch one at that). Many Christians (some of them "so-called") have not pursued their faith to the extent that others do. There are many who content themselves with Sunday School and Sunday morn ing pablum. Once a week for an hour is not the make-up for a strong relationship with Him. You get out of it what you put in.

many people think they are Christians because they go to church and pray and do all those things that christians do- even helping thier neighbors but you have to be a Christian in your heart as well and those types are rarely boasting and preaching and strutting thier christianity around.
beware of those bible carrying, scripture quoting people
look for Christians in the strangest places(i.e. Bono, the rock star, is a christian)
live your life as a Christian don't just say or act like one

Psychology would tell you that it is not having "two-faces" but just two characters of yourself. I personally am a Christian and I love to help, but sometimes when I am in my car and I hear a song that touches me I won't raise my hand because I don't want anyone to think I am crazy (and I am driving). To me it only means we are human and that we make human decisions. It does not mean we love God any less, it means we need Him more.

And you know, most reasonable people understand that. The internet brings out the weird in people. While I would consider myself an atheist (and trust me, *we're* not all like much of this forum)...if I sit here and think of the people I most respect in my own personal life, people who I know, there are many Christians among them--and the reason I respect most of them is how they live their faith.

have you ever heard of the 1st regulation interior the Transformation of potential. It states that there heavily isn't a a hundred% cconversion because of the fact some thing is lost in transference. comprehend once you're saved, you're replaced with the aid of a clean physique and ideas. however the soul is your accountability to rework along with his help. considering the fact that so few persons ever come to God thoroughly accepting him or his precepts, we are companies to our little sins. it is why he stated that he's taking the sinners, and makes them his chief cornerstones. After a while in this international, they comprehend that this previous existence is futile; and whilst God comes, we would desire to respond to the bell. because of the fact their concern of him supersedes all wisdom of this international. Salvation is a non-quit striving, we would desire to be diligent in serving him. it is why the be conscious speaks of apprenticeships under his squaddies. (Flesh wars against spirit) do merely no longer carry it against everybody, lest you get tempted with the aid of the devil.

I think Christainty has two faces. There are those who are good and those who are bad. You are right about some Christians have two faces but I know not all. Some Christians are very rude, and have been rude to me, but others have not been. there are some very nice Christians here.

In my experience, Christians are human. Therefore they are complicated beings torn between what they feel is right and what their friends think is right...this spans any age demographic, by the way.
However, you can get the overly hypocritical zealot who gives y'all a bad name...but zealots of any kind give their cause a bad name.
